1. Outline the research process that should be used when conducting research.
The purpose of research is to advance knowledge, increase understanding, educate others and inform practice. Thereby, the appropriate research process that should be used when conducting research includes the development of a focus question or hypothesis to investigate a research topic, collecting information for your project, analysing information you have collected, and recording data using a range of methodologies to draw conclusions and evaluate the data. Lastly, reporting the outcomes of the research and forming suggestions to continue the in-depth research of your project through primary data. Furthermore, these can all be applied during any research process such as a research project on body image issues affecting adolescents.
