Pope John XXIII was an advocate for individuals fulfilling their duty to God. This is seen through Christian Unity Ecumenism where he felt as though Christian churches around the world should work together on social justice issues and in serving the community in times of need. He further showed this through the Decree of Ecumenism (Unitatis Redintegratio) where it states “the restoration of unity among all Christians is one the principal concerns of the 2nd Vatican Council” as he wanted everyone to come together to spread the message of God authentically (RELATE TO SPECIFIC QUESTION)
