To what extent did US foreign policy achieve its aims from 1919 to 1941?

To a partial extent, the United States of America’s foreign policy achieved its aims in Europe and in Central America, South America and Asia between 1919 and 1941. According to historian David A. Shannon the three main aims of the foreign policy were “to expand abroad economically, international peace and stability, and the prevention of revolution”. America attempted to achieve these goals through economic expansion and rehabilitation within Europe, promoting diplomatic relations with Latin America, implementing various treaties, no-war pacts and peace agreements.
