Resource Description
So having endured a year of Advanced English I thought I’d share some advice and tips that I WISH I had been told before beginning the course. I’ll split this off into over all tips and just tips per Module. I’ll also list my marks for each essay so you can see how it went in assessments;
- Discovery; 14/15 in trial and assessment (lost 1 mark the first time because I was slightly “too repetitive” and in the trial because my related didn’t have “enough quotes” )
- Mod A; 19/20 (top mark) in assessment, 18/20 in trial (lost 2 marks bc Ms Trimble disagreed with my opinion on EBB and believes it is more ‘a celebration of love’)
- Mod B: 20/20 in assessment and 19/20 in trial (lost one mark for not referencing the question enough)
- Mod C: 19/20 in speech (lost 1 mark because I didn’t say the word REPRESENTING enough) I took on ALL the above feedback and ensured my essays for the HSC didn’t have the same problems – so rest assured that hopefully the essays you have now are “practically perfect”
