To what extent is the process of globalisation making a positive contribution to the world?

Globalisation has shaped and invented whole new societies and cultures. Globalization is the process of company, people and government integration and trading of goods, capital, labour, services, knowledge, leisure, sport, ideas, and culture. Globalization goes all the way to thousands of years ago, people have been trading across national and regional borders, from Phoenicians to Polynesians, from the legal Silk Route to the illegal Opium Route. As societies developed the demand for international trade increased, leading to even more production in order to meet the needs and desires. Like every movement, globalization has negative and positive impacts on each individual. However many people argue that it brought societies together and connected people, and has also benefited their economy. Others argue the complete opposite, arguing how it actually separated their people, lost cultures and destroyed their economy and environment.

Globalization without a doubt has brought people together and made it easier to connect through technology such as social media and transportations that are much quicker now than pre-globalisation days. But also, it has made such a huge impact on the environment by polluting air, water and nature in the process.

Globalization has made positive impacts on many aspects in societies, cultures, technology, economy and people. These huge impacts have evolved so many countries and developed them into what they are today. These positive impacts variety from person to person. Providing more job opportunities, labour availability and skills giving more people opportunities to support their families and communities. For example, there are more job opportunities for people in China or Bangladesh, Dubai and other developed countries that have versatile jobs for people to use their skills that they are already familiar with. This has helped increased many countries economies leading to greater investments into education, health and infrastructure, as well as leisure centres and facilities for the communities entertainment and growth.
