Resource Description

 The Cuban Revolution

  • Discovered in 1492 by Christopher Columbus, Cuba became a colony of Spain in 1511 and was the base for continued Spanish exploration and colonisation of Central and South America. 
  • Between 1650-1860 approximately 10-15 million slaves were transported from Western America to the Americas -> 48% went to America.
