Wuthering Heights is a novel written by Emily Bronte in 1847 and closely follows the plotline of two families, the Earnshaws and the Lintons, as well as their complex relationship with Heathcliff, an orphan, who is in a doomed love with Catherine Earnshaw. This novel comprises of an unbelievably complex storyline, consisting of a frame narrative structure and multiple generations of characters. The tensions of class and convention are clearly evident through social mobility, contrast and romantic elements.
